Pioneering Expertise in Biotechnology and Nutrition: A Journey of 25 Years in Research and Public Health
I am a microbiologist, biochemist, and dietitian with over 25 years of experience. I have served as a research scientist at ICMR and ICAR, focusing on aflatoxin research. I was also the State Biochemist for over four years. My expertise includes human nutrition, and I have broadcasted a series of radio talks on ‘Diet as Medicine’ on AIR.
I hold a postgraduate degree from M.S. University of Baroda, where I studied under renowned professors C.V. Ramkrishnan and Dr. Raj Lami. Currently, I am a Project Coordinator, Bio-Tech Scientist, and acting subject faculty in nursing colleges. I am ready to extend my services as an RT-PCR test expert and nutritionist to help in the COVID-19 crisis.
I pioneered the ‘Lab 2 Land’ biotechnology program in India since 1991 and declined a Rs. 26 lakh government offer for lab equipment in 1993. I have also participated in the Krishi Mahotsav with Collector Ghodasara and am a member of the Gujarat Scientist Association.
My research has contributed to poverty alleviation programs, and I remain dedicated to advancing biotechnology and nutrition.
