Why Healthcare?
With over 1.4 billion people living in our nation, last-mile healthcare delivery is extremely difficult. The geographical variety of the nation exacerbates the problems with healthcare accessibility and availability in challenging terrain. Uneven distribution and a lack of information also prevent people from using the healthcare services that are already available.
This is because over 65% of the population lives in rural regions, which have a lower part of the overall healthcare infrastructure, while urban slum inhabitants prioritize daily survival above access to healthcare. To achieve the objectives of Universal Health Coverage and support the Indian government’s Ayushman Bharat agenda, it is imperative to solve these shortcomings.
What Actions Do We Take?
The comprehensive and community-focused health project of the Sadbhav Foundation provides primary healthcare services to marginalized groups in rural and urban India. With a two-pronged strategy, the program fills in the gaps in healthcare availability, accessibility, and cost by offering both curative and preventative treatments.
